Job Title: Detailer

Location: San Diego, CA.

Position: Full-Time

We’re hiring a skilled Detailer to join our team! Must pay EXTREME ATTENTION TO DETAIL, have a willingness to learn and excel, and a passion for cars! Experience is preferred for this position, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

Vehicle Detailing Responsibilities
  • Clean and prep vehicles for Detail, Paint Correction, and Ceramic Coating Services using appropriate products and techniques.
  • Wash vehicles using our Waterless WashMist & Premium MicroFiber Towels, ensuring thorough removal of dirt and contaminants.
  • Perform interior detailing, including vacuuming, conditioning of upholstery, and removing stains and odors.
  • Ensure interior panels and accessories like mirrors, vents, and cup holders are spotless.
  • Clean Windows & Glass to achieve a streak-free finish.
  • Clean and dress wheels and tires, removing brake dust and grime.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, including Detailers, PPF installers, and Management.
Secondary Responsibilities (Depending on Experience):
  • Conduct thorough assessments of vehicles’ paintwork to identify imperfections and areas that require Paint Correction.
  • Utilize cutting-edge tools, equipment, and compounds to perform Paint Correction techniques with precision and care.
  • Safely remove scratches, swirl marks, water spots, and other paint defects while preserving the integrity of the vehicle’s paint.
  • Apply ceramic coatings to vehicles using proper techniques to achieve even coverage and superior protection.
  • Conduct final inspections of vehicles to ensure a flawless and impeccable finish.
  • Address any areas that may require additional attention and perform final detailing touches to achieve a showroom-ready appearance.

Requirements:

Detailing Job Requirements
  • Previous experience with exterior and interior detailing preferred.
  • Must pay extreme attention to detail and be able to complete a job with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, busy environment and be able to complete projects thoroughly during tight deadlines.
  • The role requires standing or sitting for extended periods, bending, lifting, and working with cleaning chemicals.

This is a Full-Time position. Pay depends on level of experience. Must have a reliable vehicle, valid Driver’s License and be 18+ years of age. Must be available to work in person Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Few weekend shifts are required throughout the year for automotive events including San Diego Cars and Coffee.
